Privacy Policy
Operion, Inc. · Effective 23 August 2026
Who we are
Operion, Inc. is a Delaware corporation based in Frisco, Texas. This policy explains what happens to information when you visit our website at www.operioninc.com or write to us.
You can reach us at info@operioninc.com.
The short version
This website is a single page of text. It has no scripts, no cookies, no forms, no analytics, and no advertising. Nothing on it is loaded from another company's servers. We do not track you, we do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell information about you to anyone.
Two things still happen that you should know about, and they are described below: our hosting provider records ordinary web-server information, and if you email us we keep your email.
What this website does not collect
We want to be specific, because privacy policies often describe practices the company does not actually have. This website does not:
- set any cookies, or use local storage on your device
- run any JavaScript — the page contains no scripts at all
- include any analytics, measurement, advertising, or tracking service
- load anything at all from another company's servers — no images, video, fonts, scripts, or embedded content from anywhere but our own site (the logo and lettering you see are drawn by the page itself)
- contain any form, sign-up box, or field you can type into
- have accounts, logins, or passwords
There is nothing on this site that asks you for your name, your email address, your employer, or anything else. The only way to send us information through this site is to click the contact link, which opens your own email program.
What happens automatically when you visit
Hosting. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like every web host, Cloudflare receives and logs the technical information your browser sends in order to deliver the page: your IP address, the time of the request, which page you asked for, your browser's user-agent string, and similar request data. Cloudflare also provides security and denial-of-service protection, which works by inspecting that same request data.
Cloudflare handles this information as our service provider, under its own security and retention practices. We have not turned on Cloudflare's analytics product, and no measurement script is present on the page.
Our domain registrar. Our domain is registered and its DNS is managed at GoDaddy. If you arrive at the address without the www prefix, GoDaddy's service may redirect you to the canonical address, and it sees that request in the same ordinary way.
We do not receive a per-visitor report, we do not attempt to identify visitors, and we do not combine this information with anything else.
Nothing on this page comes from anywhere else
The page uses three typefaces — Exo, IBM Plex Sans, and IBM Plex Mono. We serve the font files from our own site, alongside the page itself.
We are pointing this out because it is the sort of thing that usually is not true. Most websites load their fonts, scripts, or images from other companies' servers, and every one of those requests hands that company your IP address, your browser, and the page you were reading. This page makes no such request. Visiting our site puts you in contact with our hosting provider and our domain registrar, both named above, and with nobody else.
If you email us
The contact links on this site open your own email program. If you write to us, we receive your email address, your name and signature if you include them, and whatever you choose to tell us — which, for the conversations we are currently having, is usually about how your laboratory's courier operation works.
We use that information to reply to you and to continue the conversation. We do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not share what you write with anyone outside the company except the email provider that carries and stores our mail for us.
Please do not send us patient information, medical records, specimen identifiers, or anything else sensitive by email. We have no product in service yet, and email is not the right place for it.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information, and we never have.
- We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, or for any advertising.
- We do not run advertising, and we do not permit anyone to advertise on this site.
- We do not track you across other websites, and we have no ability to.
- We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
Because the site sets no cookies and runs no tracking, there is nothing here for a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off. We mention it so you are not left wondering whether a control exists that you cannot find.
How long we keep things
Email you send us — we keep for as long as the conversation is useful and, after that, for as long as we reasonably need it as an ordinary business record. If you ask us to delete your correspondence, we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Server and security logs — these are held by our hosting provider under its own retention schedule and age out automatically. We do not keep a separate copy.
Your choices, and how to use them
Whatever the law where you live requires of us, we will do the following for anyone who asks, in relation to information we hold about you as a visitor to this website or as someone who has emailed us:
- Tell you what we have. Ask, and we will tell you what information about you we actually hold, which in most cases is an email thread and nothing else.
- Correct it. Tell us what is wrong and we will fix it.
- Delete it. Ask us to delete your correspondence and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
- Stop hearing from us. Ask and we will stop writing to you.
Write to info@operioninc.com. We will usually reply to the same email address you wrote from, which is also how we confirm the request is really yours. We aim to respond within thirty days.
You will not be treated differently for exercising any of these choices. There is nothing to lose here — we have no accounts and no service to withhold.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local law. If you believe we have not handled a request properly, tell us first — we would rather fix it — and you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection or consumer protection authority.
Children
This site is aimed at people who run courier operations for diagnostic laboratories. It is not directed to children, we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and we have no mechanism on this site that could collect it. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to info@operioninc.com and we will delete it.
Visitors outside the United States
We are a United States company and our providers process this information in the United States and on globally distributed infrastructure. This site is not directed at people outside the United States. If you visit from elsewhere and write to us, your information will be handled in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
Security
This site is a static page served over HTTPS. There is no database behind it, no account to compromise, and no information stored in it. Email we receive is protected by the ordinary security controls of our email provider and our own access practices. No method of transmitting or storing information is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
What we are building, and what it will mean
Operion is building software for laboratories that run their own couriers, including a mobile application for drivers. That application is in development. It is not available, it has not been released, and it collects nothing from anyone today.
When it is released it will collect location information from drivers who use it, including while the app is in the background, because knowing where a specimen actually is at a given moment is the point of it. We are not describing those practices here yet, because describing them before they exist would mean guessing at them. Before that application is released, this policy will be updated to state exactly what it collects, why, who it is shared with, and how long it is kept — and drivers will be asked for permission inside the app itself, in plain language, before any location is collected.
The same applies to the product generally. We have no service in general availability, no customer accounts, and no customer data. When that changes, this policy changes with it, and it will change before the practice does, not after.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top. If a change is significant — a new kind of information, a new recipient, a new purpose — we will say so clearly rather than quietly revising the text, and where we have a way to reach you and the change matters to you, we will tell you directly.
